This short safari is designed for travelers who want to experience the beauty and wildlife of Kenya within a limited time. Over two days, you’ll journey from Nairobi to the world-renowned Lake Nakuru National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most accessible parks in the Great Rift Valley.
Lake Nakuru is famously known as the “Pink Lake” because of the thousands of flamingos that often gather along its shores, creating a spectacular pink ribbon around the water. Beyond flamingos, the park is a birdwatcher’s paradise with over 400 recorded species, including pelicans, storks, fish eagles, and kingfishers.
For wildlife lovers, Lake Nakuru offers much more than birdlife. The park is a stronghold for both black and white rhinos, and sightings are common. Visitors can also expect to see lions, leopards (with some luck), buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, baboons, and hippos wallowing in the lake’s inlets.
The park’s diverse habitats, ranging from open grasslands and wooded areas to rocky cliffs and acacia forests, create dramatic backdrops for photography and game drives. Scenic spots such as Baboon Cliff and Lion Hill offer panoramic views of the lake and surrounding landscapes.

Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park
Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, heading west towards the spectacular Great Rift Valley. En route, enjoy a brief stop at the Rift Valley Viewpoint, where you can capture breathtaking photographs of this vast geological wonder stretching as far as the eye can see.
Continue your journey to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time to check into your lodge and enjoy a delicious lunch. After some time to relax, embark on an exciting afternoon game drive starting at around 4:00 pm and continuing until dusk.

Lake Nakuru to Nairobi
